The school buildings received fresh coats of paint after the National Day Holiday (that lasts a week).
What I found far more compelling however were the proliferation of shiny metallic signs that popped up like wildflowers. There are two sizes of signs, the small ones with give the plants name, and the larger plaques that give a description of the plant, when it flowers and some of its uses.
A fun way to sneakily teach students stuff. I approve.
The truly surprising thing though… each sign is written in Chinese… and English… with the scientific name written in Latin.
