Construction changed the game on the court at the college.
A recent highrise removed the parking lot for most of the vehicles, and someone decided the only place for cars happened to be on the basketball court.
The Chinese students who attempt the play basketball are not a skilled lot, I’m convinced two points get awarded for hitting the backback board or rim, three for an actual hoop (as these are rare) and one for setting off a car alarm.
Most points come from car alarms.
Watching students play in cardigans, ties, jeans and glasses with all the athletic prowess of an arthritic kangaroo makes me think the real betting money falls on which car’s windscreen gets smashed first.
