Ah, a classic trope from Communist Russia. The joke being. In Russia, you don’t find the
party, the party finds you.
The same can be said in Vietnam as this innocuous green sheet metal shack is one the ubiquitous Communist Party shacks that can be found in every province, in every district, in every ward on nearly every street. In Vietnam, the party *always* knows what’s going on and who is moving where.
The Party… is always on.
Edit: To clarify, that little sheet metal shack is a communist party watchhouse. Each day a couple of guys sit in there and watch the neighbourhood.
